Introduction to Art!
The introduction to art course covers the elements of art and various materials that are free for use during program.
Students will be able to learn in a relaxed and creative environment.
We cover line, texture, tone, shape, colour, form, and space.
Sessions begin with a 10 minute warm up with an introduction to the theme and materials of the day. This will be followed by a 50 minute exercise in exploration of the topic (ex. using various brushstroke patterns to create texture of wings, bark, leaves, grass, etc). Finally, in the last 30 minutes the children will utilize the day's practice in their final project. It will be worked on each week with new elements added through practice to develop skill.
Open to students 8-12 years of age.
6 week session beginning November 11, 2023 - December 16, 2023
Program runs 1:30-3PM

Cost: $150/student (tax incl.) + materials provided

A portion of the fees to be donated to the KHNG.
